Michael Antonia: New Wedding Mix

BRING ME TO ITALY AND I'LL MAKE SHIT POP OFF! the first 45 mins - hour or so is classics, the rest is all over the damn place. this was an interesting group... mix of cute, hip, kids from seattle mixed with family and friends from jersey... kinda the sweet spot if you ask me... pop alongside 80's alongside lesser know bangers and a healthy sprinkle of classics... this is a dance party monster... this wedding went OFF. shouts to Kate Kipley, Al, the person who lost their wallet, and nobody singing along to biz markie ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Conference Call 009: Lauren Marks

Our monthly-ish Podcast with Michael, Phil, & Brian from Sharkpig - Produced By Mike Cruz.

this is episode 009 - Lauren Marks was twenty-seven, singing karaoke in a bar in Scotland with her friends, when an aneurysm ruptured in her brain and left her fighting for her life. She woke up in a hospital soon after with serious deficiencies to her reading, speaking, and writing abilities, and an unfamiliar diagnosis: aphasia. This would be shocking news for anyone, but Lauren was a voracious reader, an actress, director, and dramaturg, and at the time of the event, pursuing her PhD. At any other period of her life, this diagnosis would have been a devastating blow. But she woke up...different. The way she perceived her environment and herself had profoundly changed, her entire identity seemed crafted around a language she could no longer access. She returned to her childhood home to recover, grappling with a muted inner monologue and fractured sense of self. We met Lauren under odd circumstances and she has been blowing our minds and cracking us up ever since. This is a GREAT episode.

Conference Call Podcast: Interview with John-Peter Hasson

My old friend John-Peter Hasson is our guest this week. I have know JP since high school and his journey as a musician / performer / producer has so many amazing twists and turns. He has worked with The Dead Milkmen, Mark Mothersbaugh, Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Eric Andre, Judd Apatow, Sarah Silverman and more... To me though, he is an eccentric, razor sharp nerd with a really unique perspective on the world. It was great to spend some time talking about the old days, creative freedom, and growing up. With Brian, Phil, Laina... As always, produced by Mike Cruz.
